Hi Joe, That is a great idea to raise funds in her memory. If you do a casino night just check with your city, county and state laws. Some have restrictions against casinos and raffles. But if you can use the casino school you might be okay. Just have lots of fun prizes for those who attend, food and other attractions. If I were you I'd contact the Chrons and Cholitis Foundation as they may have some advice for you too. They now have a half marathon fundraiser program.

My name is Joseph Faronea I had an ex-girlfriend of mine who passed away about a year and a half ago from Chrons Disease. She was only 19 years old. Since then I have wanted to start an annual charity event in her name to do two things. One, raise money to donate to a foundation that researches Chrons. Two, to set up a scholarship in her name for graduating high school students. I want to host a casino night charity similar to what you have done. I am a casino dealer so I figure I could ask my co-workers to volunteer to deal to save me money on that and Im trying to get in touch of the owner of the casino school I went to in order to ask to use the school. Anyway, I was wondering if you had any advice or could give me any additional information on how to get started and organized. I have never done anything like this before so any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
