We have events. However, we are looking at sales, such as gift wrap or plant sales. My previous understanding was that the purchase and no portion of it were tax deductible because the buyer was receiving goods at fair market value (the profit is the difference between the cost of the product and the sale at retail value). however, I see a local school is selling plants and offering the buyers a 40% tax deduction, because that is the net on the sale. Was my original information wrong?
