		<description>I had the same experience when I worked for the National Brain Tumor Society. Just saying the words &quot;brain tumor&quot; was enough to elicit a swift subject change in most people.

That being said, those whose lives were touched by brain tumors were extremely passionate about the cause, and willing to do almost anything to raise money and awareness of the cause.

Stigma meant that our fundraising efforts went deep instead of broad.</description>
