I second the opinion of Gail Perry in &quot;The Myths and Realities of Board Members and Fundraising&quot; from Guidestar. Board members ARE hesitant to fundraise, for many different and legitimate reasons. At For Impact, Tom Suddes (the founder of our company) also speaks to this issue, and redefines what the role of the board should be: not as fundraisers, but as champions for their organization. He has written several articles around effectively using your board, which you can view at http://www.forimpact.org/category/nuggets/boardleadership if you would like.
