"Year in Review" - Mini Annual Reports by Email

  Publish Your Group's Wishlist

It's December, where did the year go? Now there's little over three weeks til the end of the calendar year. Is it too late for your organization to raise the funds it needs for this year. No way!

Time is short and there's holiday parties and vacations. Yes, I'd rather take the rest of the year off and just go shopping too. But I know there are non profits who are still concerned with making the revenue to meet their 2008 budget. While not as intense as the retail industry, fundraisers working in the non-profit sector can really feel the crunch during this time of year as well.

So I've gathered some practical, low stress tips that can help.

Teleseminar with LIVE Q&A

You may have already sent out a year-end fundraising appeal letter. So why do you need the new ebook 7 Essential Steps to Raising Money by Mail? Not only do we include writing help, but also how to follow up on the campaign and track results. This Wednesday, exactly three weeks until the last day of 2008 there will be a Live call-in teleseminar.

This is a bonus teleseminar for "early-bird" orders that will help you make the most of your campaign both now and after your campaign.

A few topics we'll cover include:

  • How to rescue your fundraising letter from the pile of junk mail and Christmas cards
  • How to send "micro-targeted" emails for maximum results
  • A no-cost incentive to offer your supporters that will increase their donations for this calendar year
  • How to get a flood of donations in the last week of the year by using online fundraising strategies
  • How to turn two hours into a major donation of $5,000, $10,000 or more

Order on or before Wednesday December 10th at 3PM Eastern time, and you'll get to eavesdrop on a roundtable discussion between Sandra Sims, Sandy Rees, and Marc Pitman in this special LIVE teleseminar.

We’ll also take your questions in an open Q&A time. Even if you can’t be in on the call live, when you purchase this book, you’ll get to submit questions ahead of time and get the MP3 Download afterward.

Year in Review - Mini Annual Report by Email

Today I recieved an email from Village Enterprise Fund (VEF) and instantly knew it was a great example of a year-end campaign email. This is particularly well suited to sending to previous donors.

The email is a mini annual report, or "year in review." It begins by talking about how the organization has produced results on its mission this year, that is, helping East Africans become self-sufficient by starting small businesses. The email then describes ways that supporters can make a year end donation. It encourages the reader to call the VEF office and/or go to their website.

It's definitely low key and not a "hard sell." But for someone who has already given in the past this could be further proof that their donations are going to the right place.
