Why Would Someone NOT Donate to Your Organization?

by Sandra Sims

You have a great cause, so everyone should be beating down your door with donations, right? Oh, if only that were only the case! Fundraising can be a challenge for any group even those with the greatest mission and dedicated workers.

You are there, working hard to support your group because you believe in the cause. Being driven and focused on the mission of your organization is vitally important to your success. Holiday Fundraising Events

Do you have a small group that would like to put together a fun fundraiser between now and the end of the year? Many groups already have holiday parties and there are several ways that you can add in a fundraiser. These fun ideas can also add some new excitement to an annual event.

>> Murder Mystery Party - This is great for Halloween. It's pretty easy to put together as you can get the complete how-to kits online.

>> Chocolate Brunch - Many people like chocolate and sweets in general. You can have a chocolate brunch (or buffet) that is sure to draw a crowd.

>> Trivia Night - This is a success story from my women's club. We've actually held another trivia night since then and will be planning another one next year (it's an annual event!)

School Fundraising Ideas

School related groups may still be in need of a fundraiser before the end of the year, or be ready to plan for spring. Here are a few school fundraising ideas...

>> School Partners with Symphony for Fundraiser - A great story about a school partnering with the symphony to raise funds.

>> School Carnival Ideas - It's fall carnival time for many schools! Get some ideas and order supplies for your carnival.

>> Sales Fundraising Options for Schools - Includes holiday gift catalogs and boxed chocolates to help schools with their fundraising needs.
