Raffle Secrets Course Ready

By coincidence, Chris Brisson is releasing his Raffle Secrets course today. In addition to contributing a seminar to this course, I've also had a chance to review the entire course material. I have to say, I couldn't have done it better myself!

Chris draws on his wide range of experience helping groups conduct raffles. You'll find instructions to solve the most pressing issues about raffles: finding prizes, raffle laws, printing tickets, and of course getting those tickets sold.

Feature Article: Review Your Fundraising Goals & Achievements

Every organization should have fundraising goals that correspond with its vision for the future. But what good are goals if you don't evaluate them?

Take some time during your staff and board meetings to discuss the successes and challenges of meeting fundraising goals during 2006.

Consider the hard facts - the number of donations, total amount raised and number of new donors. Also don't forget the outcomes that are not as tangible - such as donor relationships and how your team responded to challenges.

Here are a few questions for your group to consider:

1. What goals did your organization set for 2006? Did you meet those initial expectations?

2. What unexpected challenges did you face this year? How did you respond to them?

3. What unexpected positive outcomes came from your fundraising efforts, such as new donors and funding opportunities?

4. What knowledge did your team gain from the past year's experiences that can be applied in the future?

5. How does your fundraising efforts support your group's mission? How can you continue to enhance your programs through fundraising?

By evaluating your goals and experiences your team will receive positive recognition for successful efforts and consider new ways of working better in the future.

Wishing you a blessed holiday season and happy new year!
